Physical Materials allow for the identification of surface types to trigger specific Surface Impact VFX when an actor is hit, such as Concrete, Flesh, or Metal.&#x20;

This system can be expanded by creating additional Physical Materials and extending Surface Types through Project Settings > Engine - Physics (or by searching for Surface).&#x20;

To further customize, open 'BP\_Impacts' and expand the surface maps to include new impacts.&#x20;
